What Does A Rockit Server Do Exactly?

To put it simply we created a rugged computing device that can be used as the platform for the data collection service.

The device acts as a control head allowing the user to configure/start/stop collection of data and review the basic information being collected. The device runs a cut down subset of the Rockit functionality on a reduced screen real estate.

It can also be connected to via the full Desktop version of Rockit. So you can run Rockit Analytics on a separate laptop with a full size screen connecting over WiFi to the Rockit Server Device.

When you have done with all that data analysis you can upload your results to our Rockit Cloud Platform to share with your crew mates.

We have been testing these devices for the last 4 years on Jengu our test boat.

The ability to start recording by hitting a big green button on the touchscreen was a bit of a revelation.

Whats In The Box ?

Our aim is to build  Rockit Data Server Devices to order.

This gives us a certain amount of leeway to add extra components to the units for individual customers -> as long as the bits will fit in the box.

We can even print the server case in Neon Green if you really want.

Whats The Rockit Analytics Cloud All About ?

We wanted a way to share the performance data more easily with our crew. The owner/skipper/navigator/boat builder/sail maker has the full data package but there is value in sharing the edited highlights with the people actually sailing the boat.

So we created the Rockit Analytics Cloud platform. This replicates key functionality from the Rockit software as a web app.  Rockit Subscriptions come with a login to the cloud. You can then upload you data to the cloud from the Rockit Software and share it with you crew or anyone else for that matter.
